About Mrs. DeGregori

Welcome! My name is Mrs. DeGregori, and I have been teaching Mathematics since 2023. I hold both a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics, and I am passionate about helping students develop confidence and success in math.

I believe that mathematics is more than simply memorizing or following a process. True mathematical understanding comes from developing problem-solving skills, making connections between concepts, and applying those skills to real-world situations. My goal is to help students become confident, independent thinkers who are prepared to use mathematics both inside and outside the classroom.

My classroom is built around a flipped learning model. Students are introduced to new concepts through guided notes and instructional videos before class, allowing our class time to focus on collaborative problem-solving, hands-on learning, and meaningful mathematical discussions with their peers. These conversations help students explain their reasoning, learn from one another, and deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. This approach also allows me to provide individualized support and work with small groups, ensuring every student receives the guidance they need to succeed.

I strive to create a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and empowered to grow. By fostering curiosity, collaboration, and a growth mindset, I encourage students to take risks, learn from mistakes, and develop confidence in their mathematical abilities. My goal is for every student to leave my classroom with not only stronger math skills but also the problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
